Ninette's story

“We’re one family solving problems and celebrating success with laughter on the way.”

Ninette’s impressive career spans several roles with us while her positive attitude and hunger to grow inspires others.

Ninette says:

“I started with Four Seasons in 2013 as a Care Assistant at a local home and worked hard to develop my career, moving on to Senior Care Assistant and then a CHAP, taking part in training courses and developing my personal touch with residents and their families.

I qualified as a CHAP in 2015 supporting the nurse on a daily basis and developing a team of Care Assistants to work alongside each other to deliver good quality care. I felt the opportunity came at the right time for me when I was hungry for the next stage of my career.

I felt well supported and even completed my Level 3 in Social Care alongside the CHAP programme which made it challenging but I loved every moment.

I am honoured to be a CHAP and to work alongside my colleagues with so much experience. I love soaking up new information, new techniques and increasing my skills. I also enjoy bringing a new enthusiasm to staff and residents alike, promoting positive attitudes and moving our homes forward in the right direction. The support from my team is fantastic. We are all one family, coming together to solve any problems, celebrate our success with laughter on the way.

During my role as a CHAP I was supported throughout by my nurses and my managers and given opportunities to move forward with my career. The CHAP Leads were always available and I know I could call upon them if I needed to.

Like any new post you’re applying for it was a scary but exciting time, knowing it’s your chance to develop. I’d advise anyone thinking about becoming a CHAP to do it! Yes it is hard work, but the rewards are outstanding – you get lots of support plus you get a fabulous purple uniform!

Today ...WOW, I am delighted to be part of the Care Services Support Team, supporting homes nationwide, meeting lovely people in sometimes difficult circumstances, but together we try to put the sparkle back and learn to dance with life again.

I go all over the country to help develop our staff and encourage and motivate the passion and values of Four Seasons Health Care. I’m looking forward to carrying on with this fabulous adventure, to continue to develop FSHC values within our homes and the organisation and give my 100 percent to my role and my team.”
