To offer all aspects of support with medication in FSHC care homes.

Face to Face Training for all staff administering medication. H.M, Nurses, SNCA and CHAPS
Complete Audits on the IPAD ( TraCas) and paper audits as required.

Implementation of new documents and processes.
Support with updating Medication policies and SOPs.

To be able to change locator at any time to go support a home in need with request from manager.
To be able to have a full understanding of the Boots ordering procedure and liaise with store when required.

To be able to liaise with visiting professional, GPS, CQC, Contracts and Pharmacy advice visit.
A big focus is to support homes with Intermediate Care beds, this is Residents discharged from the NHS to the care home for further rehabilitation before they return to their homes.

This is a fast turn around and can be challenging with medication and documentation discharged with the residents.

These units will be setting up the EMar Electronic dispensing system to help make medication administration process more robust and you would be playing a key part in this process.
To be able to communicate with the wards and Pharmacy department when an issue has been identified that requires immediate action.

Must be able to work alone and part of a team manage time appropriately.

 

Job Requirements

Our resident experience team will work collaboratively with operational staff across the region to deliver service improvement and key strategic priorities. The roles are designed to support a cultural shift to ensure engagement in change activities and will be supporting specific projects. The team will be developing our arrangements to identify problems and solutions in homes.

You should be familiar with the requirements of health and social care regulators and with quality improvement processes. Note that communication with a variety of stakeholders is an essential part of the role. Candidates will be expected to have good competence with modern business IT, be able to develop reports, and understand performance management. Knowledge of incident reporting and investigation systems would also be useful.
