Four Seasons Health Care are looking for a Regional Clinical Support / Trainer, also known as the Regional Care Home Assistant Practitioner (CHAP) Lead, to support with the Quality Management of the Four Seasons Health Care bespoke CHAP Programme.

We are looking for a Regional Care Home Assistant Practitioner (CHAP) Lead.

You will be responsible for the recruitment, training and ongoing development of Care Home Assistant Practitioners working in our Nursing Homes across the region.

You will need the ability to work and travel flexibly across the North West, Manchester, Wirral, Cumbria and Derbyshire. There may also be occasions when we will need you to travel nationally.

Job Requirements

 What are the key responsibilities of the role?

  • Lead and coordinate the CHAP programme for our Homes across the North West, Manchester, Wirral, Cumbria and Derbyshire
  • As the Regional CHAP Lead you will be working within a forward-thinking and dynamic team that are collectively responsible for overseeing the delivery of all aspects of the CHAP Programme from recruitment to training and developing qualified CHAPs and Registered Nurse mentors . This is a very hands-on role involving some teaching and coaching.
  • The Regional CHAP Lead is also responsible for monitoring quality and compliance of Qualified CHAPs and supporting Home Managers with governance, so a keen eye for detail and good communication skills are needed.
  • To support CHAPs, CHAP Facilitators, Mentors and Home Managers, where issues are identified affecting the successful completion of the CHAP programme by implementing Rapid Improvement Plans where necessary
  • To deliver Mentorship Training to Registered Nurses in line with corporate standards
  • Attend Home Managers and Regional Manager Meetings on a regular basis to understand the operational needs of the services and promote the CHAP role


 Essential Criteria

  • Registered Nurse
  • Working knowledge of Health and Social Care regulations
  • Care Quality Training experience
  • Working knowledge of IT Systems -Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook

 Desirable Criteria

  • Teaching Qualification or experience
  • BSc Nursing (or equivalent)
  • Experience of Audit within Health and Social Care industry. Improving Care Quality
