The PR Executive is an essential part of the Marketing Team. The PR Executive works closely with the Brand Manager and Business Development Managers to help achieve occupancy and income objectives through the implementation of innovative PR programmes.

The PR Executive is responsible for creating, identifying and implementing communications and PR activities that effectively describe and promote the Four Seasons Health Care brand internally and externally.

Key Indicators:

•Number of positive press articles published
•Engagement on social media channels
•Participation in Four Seasons marketing initiatives

Key Tasks:

•Increase the profile of the company and individual homes by maximising existing opportunities: identifying and writing up newsworthy stories; reacting creatively to new and potential PR opportunities to deliver local, regional and national media coverage
•Support the PR activities at home level linked to events diary and quarterly themes, encouraging our homes to value PR and increase their coverage
•Support the Regional Business Development Managers in their PR activity by giving advice and guidance on PR opportunities in their regions and further support with press releases, photography and contact details
•Achieve national coverage for Four Seasons' key initiatives, such as our Dementia Care Framework, Me & My Care, ROCK awards, Care Awards etc to position the company as living our vision of providing special resident experiences and to be the best place to work in the care sector
•Support Four Season's social media programme working with other members of the Marketing and Recruitment team
•Manage and deliver the internal communications plan including regular channels of communication, such as weekly e bulletin, monthly CEO message and quarterly printed newsletter, as well as one-off communications
•Prepare entries for various industry awards and ensure PR opportunities are maximised for the company and individual homes
•Secure speaking opportunities for Four Seasons at relevant conferences
•Work alongside PR agency to manage and organise media visits. This includes briefing staff teams, arranging logistics and ensuring the best possible outcome
•Be a crisis management support contact for PR agency
•Work with the PR agency to manage media coverage evaluation
•Work with agencies including MWW and others
•Submit reports to Brand Manager as necessary
•Maintain communication at all levels and encourage teamwork
•Act as a Four Seasons brand ambassador amongst care home staff, residents and their families and stakeholders in the local community


Job Requirements

We are looking for an exceptional copywriter and communicator and prossess creativity and knowledge of different tactics to engage the appopriate target audience and help share news and information throughout the company.  They need to be a good organiser and be prepared to travel around the UK.

Key experience and knowledge:

•Degree level qualifications with experience of working in PR, writing press releases, liaising with local media and managing Social Media accounts
•Excellent communication skills, particularly able to write in an engaging manner to suit a variety of audiences
•Strong organisational and prioritisation skills and ability to manage own workload
•Ability to successfully project manage an activity/initiative from beginning to successful completion
•Evidence of ability to work effectively within a multi-functional team
•Evidence of ability to work concurrently on a number of different projects, ensuring projects are completed to time
•Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative
•Good working knowledge of Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, Excel and Social Media channels
•Experience of the care sector would be an advantage
