In your role as a Personal Activity Coordinator you will be responsible for the delivery of all activities within the care home by ensuring that all resident’s are offered a varied and meaningful choice of activities throughout their stay. You will be part of the team that ensures that residents in our care feel valued as individuals.

So as a personal activity coordinator what do you need to do to make this happen?

*Assess mental and physical needs of all residents regularly in conjuction with Senior Care staff to ensure most appropriate activities are conducted.
*Develop community links with local groups i.e churches, Charities, Schools and Local Authority.
*Building relationships with locak entertainers to attend the home.
*Planning and rganising special events and comprehensive activities program, which condisers all residents needs.
*Fundraising and organsising to raise funds for the activities.
*Maintain full and accurate records of daily activities using appropriate documentation.
*Accompanying residents to off-site activities.
*Building relationships with residents and families to gather life story information and enusring care plans are developed and updated accordingly.
*Responsible for the safe handling of money and proper accounting.

 

Job Requirements

A genuine interest in promoting independence and life style opportunities for older people, showing empathy and a desire to make a difference.
Will need to be confident and enthusiastic, providing motivation and energy into our caring environment.
