To plan and carry out direct sales activities to maintain and develop sales of care home beds to service users and key purchasers in accordance with agreed business development plans and sales targets.

 

Job Requirements

 1. Plan, prioritise and initiate sales activities and customer contact to achieve agreed sales targets

 2. Respond to and follow up sales enquiries in a timely manner with the objective of them visiting the home in the initial stage of the enquiry process 

3. Maintain enquiries database with full details as enquiries develop to effectively track enquiry from initial contact through to final decision

4. Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the success of care home business

5. Develop and create ideas for marketing to key stakeholders, maintaining contacts database

6. Support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales and integrate personal sales efforts with other organised marketing activities, e.g. promotional events, advertising, exhibitions and networking events

7. Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant management reports and information

8. Attend and carry out presentations at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development

9. Plan and manage personal business time and productivity

10. Attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills

Essential :

1.    Proven sales and marketing experience, ideally in the care industry but not essential.

 

2.     Must have strong communication and inter personal skills.

 

3.    Must be self-motivated, target driven and a creative thinker

 

4.    Ability to work within a team.

 

5.    Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative.

 

6.    Able to forge links with the local community.

 

7.     Confident in presenting to groups of people.

 

8.     Ability to use Microsoft Office in particular Microsoft Word

 

9.  Full UK driving license
