An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Information Governance Assistant to join the Assurance Team here at Four Seasons Health Care (FSHC) The successful applicant will support the Information Governance Manager and Data Protection Officer in ensuring that FSHC meets its obligations with regard to data protection.

This is an exciting chance to develop a career in information governance, giving the post holder knowledge and skills that have grown in demand since the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation in 2018.   

If successful, you will act as the first point of contact for information governance queries and respond to, signpost or escalate them as appropriate. 

You will provide advice and support to care homes and central teams on responding to requests for access to records, ensuring that legislative requirements and internal policies are adhered to. Other duties include, logging and managing information governance incidents, ensuring that lessons are learned and improvements to business processes are implemented where necessary


Job Requirements

What are we looking for?

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills as you will be confidently speaking to people at all levels of the organisation as well as the external stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritise workload and escalate queries appropriately.
  • IT proficiency with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as a minimum
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Ability to absorb new and complex information quickly
  • Ability to take initiative within parameters agreed with line manager

This is a permanent contract at 37.5 hours a week, based at our Darlington office.
