An opportunity has arisen for a Digital Learning Developer (Systems) to join the largest independent provider of residential and nursing care homes in the UK.

The Learning and Development team is proud to offer continuing professional development in areas such as dementia, palliative, intermediate and clinical care.

FSHC provides a wide range of multimedia learning resources to support our colleagues in their roles.

The role of the Digital Learning Developer (Systems) is to identify, analyse and respond to training needs for our colleagues who use a number of different business systems in a managerial, support, clinical or care role. The Developer will design, develop, deploy and deliver high-quality systems training resources using a wide variety of media. The Developer will also be responsible for supporting the learning outcomes which form part of the overall Learning and Development Strategy for all roles and regions, from frontline administrative roles to operational management.

 

Job Requirements

Other key responsibilities are:

  • Collaborate with all key stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to establish and assess digital systems subject matter training needs
  • Develop and maintain a schedule of digital systems learning development
  • To build review and edit text, visual and interactive content in new and existing training modules and programmes using a variety of authoring tools and aids
  • Test and quality- assure new and existing digital learning content
  • To perform Training Needs Analyses
  • To continually evaluate update and improve systems and associated training projects
  • Provide specific coaching and training on digital systems using a variety of communication media to include videoconferencing, desktop sharing, webinars and forums as well as emerging digital technologies
  • To maintain continuous professional development and keep abreast of functional best practice and industry trends through networking, reading and online research and attending appropriate training events

 

Key Knowledge and Experience

  • Degree-level qualifications with experience in digital graphic design and multi-media production
  • Extensive experience of developing material using Adobe/Illustrator/Photoshop/Aftereffects
  • Working knowledge of digital authoring tools such as Articulate/Captivate
  • Experience of designing, developing and deploying training materials for diverse learning groups
  • Excellent IT skills, including detailed knowledge of PowerPoint/Word/MS Excel
  • Excellent project-planning, time- management and organisational skills
  • Numerate and literate, with ability to present complex information in a logical manner
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills
