Working in partnership with Business Operation teams and the Head of Commercial Finance you will provide commercial assistance to the business in making financial and commercial decisions.

The role requires a flexible approach, as hours will vary to reflect the work patterns and needs of the business, with the requirement for regular travel throughout the UK.

A Full UK driving licence is required.

So as a Commercial Accountant what do you need to do to make this happen? 

  • Ensure financial responsibility and accountability for the business function supported. 
  • Control and analyse business performance - provide analysis and insights to the business for any course correction or enhancement. 
  • Work closely with the Head of Commercial Finance and Operations Director to identify, support and authorise expenditure on business beneficial projects. 
  • Provide full support in development of budgets and forecasting models and ensure regular update and maintenance of the model. 
  • Provide qualitative analysis of financials at a regional and business level on a regular basis.
  • Participate in the Operational and Management review meeting and provide essential analysis and viewpoint from a commercial perspective and assist in effective decision making. 
  • Be responsible for providing guidance, training and development opportunities to the team and drive them to high standards of performance. 

Job Requirements

In order to achieve this our Commercial Accountants should have:

  • An understanding of Management Accounts preparation and interpretation and ideally be a qualified accountant.
  • The ability to analyse problems and propose solutions and the drive to consistently deliver a market leading service.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills are essential as is the ability to develop credible internal and external business relationships
